PWD installs more CCTV cameras, elevates underground pumps as rain contingency ahead of G20 Summit
The public works department of Delhi has put into place a rain contingency plan ahead of the G20 Summit, which includes increasing the number of CCTV cameras and elevating underground pumps to prevent heavy water accumulation. Several areas of the national capital were flooded last month due to heavy rainfall and increased water levels in the Yamuna River, including Rajghat, Pragati Maidan Tunnel and Bhairon Road, which delegates are expected to frequent during the summit.
