Do the gaps in protoplanetary disks really indicate newly forming planets?

Roughly 5 billion years ago Earth was in the process of forming. Gas and dust gathered with the young sun's protoplanetary disk, likely nudged a bit by the resonant gravitational pull of Jupiter and other large worlds. One can imagine that as Earth formed it swept its orbit clear of debris, leaving a gap in the disk visible from light years away. While we know this tale is reasonably accurate, the idea that planets such as Earth always clear gaps in a protoplanetary disk likely isn't.

Delhi govt gives nod to BS VI-compliant diesel vehicles for inter-state stage carriage

Citing the judgement of the apex court, an order issued by the Delhi Transport Department said, "... the competent authority is pleased to allow the registration of all BS VI compliant Diesel vehicles in GNCT of Delhi for Inter-State Stage Carriage, All India Tourist Permit (AITP) holders having capacity of more than 7+1 persons, coaches, buses."

CapMetro moves closer to OKing $753M fixed-route contractor agreement

CapMetro's operations, planning and safety committee unanimously voted to recommend CapMetro's board of directors approve a nearly $753.7 million contract with Keolis Transit Services, LLC. If the board of directors votes to approve the contract at its Sept. 25 meeting, Keolis would be responsible for overseeing CapMetro's fixed-route bus operations and maintenance services.
