11,000 old vehicles of Central Armed Police Forces identified; to be scrapped

The Ministry of Home Affairs in India has announced that around 11,000 vehicles belonging to the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), including the BSF, CRPF, and CISF, will be scrapped as part of a government policy to dispose of automobiles older than 15 years. The ministry has also urged state governments and Union Territory administrations to replace worn-out operational vehicles with newer, more fuel-efficient models.
