The Delhi High Court has scheduled the bail pleas of student activist Sharjeel Imam, United Against Hate founder Khalid Saifi, and others in a UAPA case linked to the alleged conspiracy behind the 2020 communal riots in Delhi for a hearing in January. The cases will need to be reheard due to a change in the bench that was previously hearing them. The accused, including Umar Khalid, are facing charges under UAPA and the IPC for their alleged roles in the riots.

A pilot project to generate UIDs will be launched within the next two months, followed by an expansion to cover all practicing doctors across the country. The UIDs will be part of a national medical register that will contain information on doctors' qualifications and will be accessible to the public through the NMC's website.
