Greater Noida: Quick response teams at work, but garbage still piling up in most areas
Despite a quick response team set up by the Greater Noida Authority, residents complain about piles of garbage on the 19th day of the sanitation workers' strike. Some residents have taken up brooms or hired labourers, but the condition remains bad. The Authority only cleans areas after receiving complaints. Talks between the striking workers and GNIDA have been postponed. The Authority plans to implement night sweeping in local markets and clean village areas. The residents suggest that all cleaning in a sector should be done by one company.
