Under this order, items cannot be produced, sold, traded, imported and stocked unless they bear the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) mark. The order will come into force from six months of the date of publication of the notification, DPIIT said.

Govt launches portal to assist farmers and make India self-sufficient in pulses

The portal was launched by Union Minister Amit Shah. It will facilitate the registration, purchase, and direct payment to farmers producing Tur Dal.​​ Shah emphasized that by January 2028, India will no longer need to import any pulses. He assured farmers that their produce would be procured at either the minimum support price (MSP) or the market price, whichever is higher, through the newly launched portal.



Cabinet approves MoU between India, Guyana on cooperation in hydrocarbons

Parliament security breach: Five of six accused give consent for polygraph test

Five of the six accused persons arrested in connection with the Parliament security breach on Friday gave their consent before a court here to conduct their polygraph test.
