A 24-year-old transperson, Somanatha Lathi, was arrested for the murder of his live-in partner, Rashmiranjan Baliarsingh, in Jankia, Khurda district. Lathi confessed to killing Baliarsingh due to jealousy and the discovery of his affair with another woman.
