Delhi HC refuses to entertain plea against privacy violation by Truecaller
The Delhi High Court has dismissed a public interest litigation alleging privacy violations by Truecaller, a global caller ID platform. The court ruled that the issue had been brought up before the Supreme Court through another plea, which was withdrawn without the apex court granting Shukla any liberty to approach the high court. The court argued that the cause of action in the two petitions was different and that the plea was not filed for publicity.
