Washington — U.N.-appointed international legal experts who investigated Iran’s suppression of a women’s rights movement that erupted in September 2022 are appealing for more time to do their work, but objections from Tehran’s allies could terminate their mission next month. The chairperson of the Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on Iran, Sara Hossain, made the appeal Monday in Geneva, where she and her two counterparts presented their first in-depth report to the U.N. Archaeological Survey of India team begins survey of Bhojshala complex in MP

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has initiated a survey of the Bhojshala/Kamal Maula Mosque complex in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district. The survey, which began on Friday, involves more than a dozen ASI members accompanied by local police and district administration officials. This initiative follows a directive from the Madhya Pradesh High Court for a 'scientific survey' of the complex, which Hindus consider a temple dedicated to Goddess Vagdevi (Saraswati) and Muslims refer to as Kamal Maula Mosque.
