France court jails ex-doctor in latest Rwandan genocide trial

Eugene Rwamucyo, 65, was accused of aiding his country's then authorities to disseminate anti-Tutsi propaganda and of participating in mass murder by attempting to destroy evidence of genocide. Rwamucyo's trial was the eighth in France relating to the genocide in 1994, when an estimated 800,000 people -- mostly ethnic Tutsis -- were slaughtered by the Hutu majority. Really good, what a nice bunch of players we have.

My lad was in his element, for a kid who runs around the house recreating Scott Wright's winner against Wigan to meet him and get a fist bump off him today was just immense. He's bouncing off the walls tonight.

He gave Jay Stansfield a rendition of the Waka Waka song and he was really good with my lad, a nice polite kid.

All the players signed a ball and had loads of time for the kids.

114 teams have entered this tournament. The USSF has determined that 14 of them will advance to the tournament proper which starts next Spring so they have created 13 groups (Florida is a double group) across the country with the group winners advancing.

Some groups will only require 3 rounds to get a winner so those groups will start with the 2nd round to reduce the number of teams that have to play in December....

Israel mulls using private security contractors for Gaza aid

Media reports suggest Israel is considering employing private security contractors, possibly involving mercenaries, to deliver aid to Gaza. According to the reports, the distribution areas would become “gated communities” under armed guard. FRANCE 24's Mark Owen speaks to Scott Lucas, Professor of US & International Politics at the University of Dublin. He says that the plan represents a continued imprisonment of Gazans.
