Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Pritchard gutted as case against nightclub attack suspect discontinued
STRICTLY star AJ Pritchard is reportedly “very upset” after cops dropped the probe into his nightclub assault.
The dancer, 24, below, has been told the case against the only suspect charged has been “discontinued”.
AJ and his brother, Love Island runner-up Curtis, 23, were attacked by a pack of eight thugs in a club crammed with witnesses and covered by CCTV.
AJ, who performed last night on Strictly with YouTuber Saffron Barker, was left with bruises across his face, arms and legs and has been left haunted by the incident.
But yesterday, Cheshire Police said there was insufficient evidence to move on with the probe into the December 27 attack at the Nakatcha club in Nantwich.
A spokesman said: “Officers have carried out numerous enquiries.

“As a result, a 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault. However, the case against him has since been discontinued at a magistrates’ court.”
A friend of AJ’s told the Sunday People: “He’s very upset. He feels justice has not been served. He’s been the victim of a violent crime and nothing has been done.”
