[Volleyball] Skyhawks defeat Knights Volleyball in AAC play
WEST POINT, Ga. – The St. Andrews women's volleyball continued their Georgia play on Saturday afternoon, competing against AAC competitor, Point University. The Skyhawks defeated the Knights in four sets (25-7, 23-25, 25-14, 25-10).
How It Happened
Point University led three sets from start to finish against the Knights, with the first set being the largest lead the Skyhawks would create with the 25-7 win. The Knights won a hard fought second set, with Kylie Winchell collecting the set-high of 4 kills.
The third and fourth sets were out of reach for the Knights, as they fell in each set by more than double digits.
St. Andrews will get a second chance at the Skyhawks on October 18th, when Point University travels to Harris Court.
Knights Leaders
Kylie Winchell stopped the Skyhawks with two solo blocks, while assisting in two other blocks for SAU.
Leading in kills for the second match in a row was sophomore Ashley McGugan, with 6 kills.
Shalia Powell recorded 16 assists and 19 kills for St. Andrews.
Next Up
St. Andrews will return to their home court for their next match on October 8th, as they host Columbia College.
