The New York Jets aren’t just looking for their first win of the year Sunday in Philadelphia. They are also looking for their first win ever against the Eagles during the regular season. The Eagles lead the all-time series 10-0 and are coming off an impressive win against the Packers at Lambeau Field.

Sam Darnold has been out with mono and Trevor Siemian suffered a gruesome ankle injury that ended his season. Luke Falk earned his first NFL start in Week 3 against the Patriots and their top ranked defense. Falk threw for 98 yard, one interception, and was sacked five times in the team’s, 30-14, loss. Le’veon Bell rushed for 35 yards and added 28 yards receiving. Bell hasn’t had more than 68 yards in a game and has yet to score a touchdown this season. As an offense, they are averaging a tiny 11 points per game.
Tom Brady threw for 306 yards and two touchdowns two weeks ago against the Jets’ defense. Brian Poole led the way with 12 tackles, while Darryl Roberts and Blake Cashman each recorded eight tackles a piece. Safety Jamal Adams added three tackles and picked up the team’s lone interception. New York had a bye week this past weekend and they needed it to recuperate against a tough Eagles team.
Fly Eagles fly. After a 27-24 loss to the Lions, Philadelphia bounced back with a fantastic, 34-27, victory against the Packers Thursday night at Lambeau Field. Carson Wentz completed 16 of 27 passes for 160 yards and three touchdowns. The running game was equally effective, with Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders splitting carries. Howard had 87 yards and two touchdowns to go with a receiving touchdown, while Sanders tallied 11 carries for 72 yards. The Eagles are currently ranked seventh in the NFL with an average of 27.5 points per game.
Philadelphia is fourth in rush defense (62 YPG) and held the Packers running backs to 77 yards. However, they have to improve their pass defense, especially when it comes to play action. Aaron Rodgers torched the Eagles for 422 yards and two touchdowns, with Davante Adams picking up 180 yards on 10 catches. The Eagles pass defense is ranked 32nd–the worst in the NFL, giving up an average of 324 YPG.
