NEWCASTLE fans hilariously mistook Sean and Matty Longstaff’s dad for unpopular owner Mike Ashley during the Toon’s 1-0 win over Manchester United.
The Geordie brothers’ dad David was caught on camera celebrating his boys’ success after Matty scored the second-half winner to give Steve Bruce his first win over United as a manager.

But fans online were initially shocked by the footage as they thought it was unpopular owner Ashley who has been staying away from St James’ Park recently amid fan protests over his ownership.
Carla Devine tweeted: “MAD how much Longstaff’s Dad looks like Mike Ashley.”
She then added he was the “spitting image” of the Londoner.
While his 19-year-old son’s fairy tale Premier League debut put a huge smile on his face, 45-year-old David’s own sporting exploits are also cause for celebration.
David still plays professional ice hockey for Whitley Warriors.
