Sadriddin Akhmedov's next opponent named!
Earlier today Canadian management outfit Eye of the Tiger Management, revealed the details for the next of fast rising Kazakh prospect Sadriddin Akhmedov (9-0, 8) [Ахмедов Садриддин].
We have known for a while that the "Soldier of Q" would be in action in October, but the specifics weren't clear until earlier today.
The unbeaten Light Middleweight will be in action on October 25th at the Complexe Capitale Helicoptere in Quebec City, and will be his fourth bout of 2019, his first since his June blow out win over Daniel Vega Cota, which lasted just 99 seconds. His opponent will experienced Mexican tough guy Johnny Navarrete (33-15-2, 15), fighting in his 51st professional bout.
Although no world beater Navarrete has only been stopped 4 times and has gone the distance with the likes of Jaime Munguia, Custio Clayton, Ramon Alvarez, and Ghislain Maduma. He should managed to get a fair few rounds of Akhmedov, though it's hard to imagine anything but a win for the 21 year old Kazakh.
The bout isn't the main event, but is one of the main support bouts to an excellent main feature between Artem Oganesyan (10-0, 8) and Konstantin Ponomarev (34-2, 13), who clash in a brilliant all Russian contest.
