A New York man was charged for the killing of four homeless men using a metal pipe

- Randy Santos, 24, was charged Sunday with the murder of four homeless men and the attempted murder of another Saturday night in New York City's Chinatown district.
- Santos used a metal pipe to beat the four men to death while they slept, and was intercepted by police while attempting to do the same to a fifth man.
- He was taken into custody on Saturday and was also charged with one count of unlawful possession of marijuana.
- Santos' mother told The New York Daily News that he was kicked out of her home three years ago because he was addicted to drugs, assaulted her and his grandfather, and stole from their family.

NEW YORK - New York police have charged a man with murder for using a metal pipe to beat four fellow homeless men to death as they slept in the city's Chinatown district, authorities said on Sunday.
