BGT: Champions winners Twist and Pulse battled to hide their victory for months after being snapped with the trophy
BGT: Champions winners Twist and Pulse have admitted they battled to hide their victory for months after being snapped with the winner’s trophy outside Wembley Arena in July.
The act, who triumphed on the pre-recorded show last night, were pictured with the prize and spent their days deleting tweets from fans who pointed out their secret.
Tonight the dancers, whose real names are Ashley Glazebrook and Glen Murphy, said some of their followers were determined to “spoil” the show.
Ashley told the Mirror: “It’s one of those things when you’ve got that many people in the crowd.
“Some people uploaded videos of it and screenshots, it’s so hard. We used to just perform and leave the building and that’s it and hope it didn’t come out.”
He added that each time one of their social media followers posted about their win, they would quickly try and delete it.
“We wanted to keep it so fans could experience the show the way it’s meant to be done rather than spoiling it because it takes the fun out of it.”
Twist and Pulse last night became the first ever winners of Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions with the pair body-popping to the I’m A Celeb theme tune after channelling Love Island.
Reflecting on their win, Twist and Pulse said: “Auditioning for the show nine years ago was the best decision we ever made; we never could imagine finishing as runners up.
“To return on BGT The Champions was an honour in itself but to go on and be crowned champions is mind blowing.”

However, some fans insisted that Alexa Lauenburger’s eight dancing dogs had been “robbed”.
The schoolgirl’s act saw her flawlessly dance with her beloved pets to Christina Aguilera’s Candyman.
After organising the dogs into a smooth-sailing conga line during the Champions’ audition, tonight’s act saw Alexa train her pups to jump over hurdles on their hind legs as well as other impressive tricks.
Writing on Twitter, one fan wrote: “The little German girl with the dogs was absolutely robbed on Britain’s Got Talent tonight. I am riled.”
