A lighter, hungrier Lauderdale returns for UAlbany

Kendall Lauderdale is only 90 percent the player he was last season for the University at Albany basketball program.
In this case, that may be a good thing.
Lauderdale, a 6-foot-8 senior power forward, lost between 20 and 25 pounds over the offseason.

"He took to heart what I told him at the end of last season in our meeting," Brown said. "I said, 'None of my concerns are offensive, it's all defensive stuff. You need to be able to guard ball screens. You need to be able to rotate quickly.' For him, he worked hard and has done a good job with his diet."
"It's my last year here," Lauderdale said. "I'm trying to make an impact. I'm trying to take this...
