RJ Barrett Making An Impression WIth The Knicks

Now if he could just do something about the owner...

The NBA is getting ready for the season to start and while there’s understandably hype for Zion Williamson, in New York, the Knicks are highly impressed with RJ Barrett.

Basically people are saying he is playing with huge confidence and doesn’t look like a rookie at all.

Here’s what his coach, David Fizdale, told the New York Post:

“He’s a strong kid. He’s stronger than college kids. His strength is already NBA-ready. I can see him really being a force in the paint.

“His shot is progressing slowly but surely...I like how he competed defensively. He shares the game, knows how to play.

“He doesn’t remind me of any rookies...I feel he’s ahead of the game to most rookies I’ve coached.”

By the way, as you may remember, someone recently asked Barrett who he’d most like to dunk on and he responded with a very savvy answer: former Knick Kristaps Porzingis.

Well, Porzingis heard and has responded, saying that’s fine, he’s a shot blocker so bring it. So the New York-Dallas games should be fun for a bit.
