Men's 8:
Leeds 8 (3 v 5) City of York 8
The Men's 8 were hoping to build on their 12-2 win against Bradford 3 from the last week.
It was a competitive start to the first half with both teams pushing forward. City of York were the first to get on the score sheet as they scored off a counter attack. Shortly afterwards they scored two from penalty corners. Leeds struggled to get back into the game before City of York scored another off the run of play towards the end of the half making it 4-0 to City of York at half time.
Leeds bounced back at the beginning of the second half with a quickfire double from Kallum Greenwood in the opening five minutes. Leeds threatened York by pushing forward and creating numerous chances before City of York stole a goal to extend their lead to 5-2. Captain Chris Devine said "We hope to learn from this game and improve ahead of our away to Scarborough this coming Saturday."
