Tequila, 5am workouts and bee pollen — how to get a bod like Victoria Beckham
SHE’S come a long way from zig-a-zig-ahh-ing in a leather catsuit.
Now aged 45, VB has reincarnated herself as the head of her own global fashion and beauty brand.
She’s never looked better – and what’s more she’s never seemed happier. Forget Posh – Victoria is basically royalty!
All while juggling four children and one of the most-scrutinised marriages in Celeb Land. So how does VB always look V brilliant?
An apple a day
THINK Victoria is munching on standard Granny Smiths? Nope.
In 2017, she posted a picture of a bottle of apple cider vinegar on Insta with the caption: “Be brave! Two tbsps first thing on an empty stomach.”
“Drinking vinegar for its medicinal properties has been around for a long time,” says nutritional therapist Kay Ali.
“Whether you’re suffering from constipation or IBS, the fermentation process of vinegar has been shown to improve digestion by encouraging the growth of good bacteria in the gut.”
But don’t go swigging the stuff you put on chips. “It needs to be organic, raw and unpasteurised apple cider vinegar for maximum benefits,” says Kay.
Sprouty spice
ONE of Victoria’s favourite breakfasts is Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Whole Grain Cereal, which she says is “perfect with organic unsweetened almond milk”.
Sprouted grain products – made with grains that have begun to germinate – supposedly have more nutrients and are easier to digest than regular grains.
Vic also starts the day with a “green monster” smoothie, which she makes for the whole Beckham brood.
She recently revealed the recipe on Instagram: apple, kiwi, lemon, spinach, broccoli and chia seeds blended in a Nutribullet. Sounds… healthy.
Core blimey
VICTORIA’S alarm goes off at 5.30am so she can get a workout in before the school run.
She does 7k on the treadmill – “a mix of hill fast walking, jogging, running. That’s the only time I watch TV – box sets, documentaries – so I look forward to that.
“It takes 45 minutes. Then I work out with a trainer – 30 minutes legs, 30 minutes arms, toning and conditioning, then loads of planks and that kind of thing for my core.
“Working out is a really positive thing for me,” she has said.
She’s also been spotted at cult spinning class SoulCycle, which recently opened its first UK studio, and Barry’s Bootcamp, an intense workout interspersing treadmill sprints with strength exercises.
She said in an interview in January: “I expect a lot from my body – I’m 44, I’ve got four kids, I work a lot, I travel. For me to do all that, I have to eat healthily and work out.”
Tree poser
VIC likes to keep lithe and supple by mixing up cardio with dance and yoga.
She recently posted an impressive snap to Insta with her leg behind her head and the caption: “Who says I can’t do yoga?”
Absolutely nobody, that’s who. While on holiday in Italy, she also had a go at a headstand, writing: “Morning yoga for the Beckhams! Turns out I’m pretty useless!”
During her pregnancy with Harper, Vic started training with Tracy Anderson, who is known for whipping Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna into shape.
“For Victoria Beckham’s favourite move, start in a tabletop position,” says Tracy.
“Tuck one knee in, then lift up in a donkey kick. Next, push with your arms and lift off the ground, extending your raised leg in an arabesque.” Easy.
Posh nosh
SKIN-boosting foods are the focus of Victoria’s diet.
She told Vogue she has completely cut out dairy (it’s thought this may help keep skin clear, although the evidence is inconclusive) and has said that she “eats three or four avocados a day” to keep her skin healthy.
She’s also a big fan of sushi and eats salmon at least once a day.
“Avocados have vitamin E and antioxidants that protect cells from oxidative stress which has been connected to ageing, but more than one a day is a lot of fat in your diet,” says Kay.
“Salmon is full of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins A and C, all of which provide anti-inflammatory and moisturising benefits, but I think every day might be overkill for most people.”
Bottoms up
PASS the lemon and salt, because Vic says her secret weapon is, erm, tequila.
“I am known to drink a few tequilas and a few red wines. It’s that balance,” she said recently.
But forget the shots you slammed in your student days. VB revealed on her YouTube channel that her drink of choice is Don Julio 1942, which retails at £120 a bottle.
“I take my mate Don with me most places, because even when you’re really tired, really not in the mood, Don will get you through,” she joked.
On Insta she even confessed to taking a hip flask to Tina: The Musical.
With around 65 cals a shot, tequila is one of the most figure-friendly options out there. We’ll drink to that.
On the rocks
MRS B has revealed she likes a spot of meditation and believes in sending positive energy out into the universe.
And her penchant for alternative wellness doesn’t stop there, and she’s such a fan of crystals that she even incorporated them into her fashion collection, which includes trousers with a hidden pocket to keep your magic rocks in.
“My first crystal was a black obsidian and I still carry it everywhere with me,” she said.
“I like to surround myself with positive energy and so often have a little collection of crystals in my handbag.
“My current go-to is a white howlite crystal. It’s a calming gemstone that relieves stress, calms the mind and relaxes the whole body.” Zig-a-zen-ahh!
V bee
VIC often posts pictures of the supplements she takes such as Skinade collagen drink, which claims to combat the drying effects of long-haul flights and air con.
“I’ve got the vitamins and the collagen pills, and I need a lot of energy to be buzzing about,” she has said.

She also eats a spoonful of pollen each day, and has boasted about its benefits.
“Twenty-two amino acids, 12 vitamins, 28 minerals,” she says.
“We can’t have wrinkles!” Well, you can’t if you’re Victoria Beckham, obviously.
