[Women's Soccer] Women's Soccer Dominates KCU, 4-1
LAURINBURG, N.C. – The St. Andrews women's soccer team dominated Kentucky Christian on Saturday afternoon, 4-1, in their final home game of the year.
How It Happened:
St. Andrews got off to a quick start after a goal in the 9th minute from Caitlin Hill with an assist by senior Roula Zafeiropoulou. Kentucky Christian pocketed a goal in the 21st minute to tie the game 1-1.
The tie was short lived, as freshman Melissa Tougher decided to take one to the back of the net off another Roula Zafeiropoulou assist.
The Knights tacked on another goal just 5 minutes after, when Aryssa McMillian picked up her first goal of the season in the 28th minute.
The final goal of the game was scored in the 56th minute as Melissa Tougher netted her second goal of the game while Roula Zafeiropoulou collected her third assist.
St. Andrews had 13 shots in the game compared to KCU's 11, while Kaitlin Locklear recorded 6 saves against Kentucky Christian.
