Oakley police order Summer Lake neighborhood evacuation because of fire

OAKLEY — Authorities have ordered an evacuation of the neighborhoods surrounding Summer Lake in Oakley due to a fire in the area, according to the Oakley Police Department.

Residents between Sandmound Boulevard and Bethel Island Road must evacuate, police said.

Police urge residents in the area to leave towards Sandmound Boulevard and Holland Tract Road with only essential items and pets in a carrier or on a leash.
