Cal Maritime academy evacuated and I-80 highway closed as new fire rages in Northern California

The California State University Maritime Academy called for an evacuation Sunday as a fire raged near its Northern California campus.

The academy located in Vallejo, Calif., issued an order to leave the campus in a tweet at 9:43 a.m. local time after saying the fire had “jumped the freeway.”
