The world wasn't ready for DCeased when it began, bringing a version of DC's Anti-Life equation to Earth and unleashing a zombie-like plague upon anyone who witnessed it. It was no surprise that such a horrifying re-imagining of the DC Universe and its Justice League heroes would come from writer Tom Taylor, the mind behind DC's Injustice series. But as fun and successful as the series has been thus far, it looks like DCeased #6 will be ending the story in grand fashion. As in, 'Wonder Woman slaying zombie Superman with a kryptonite sword' grand.
To this point, the DCeased series hasn't disappointed with its adventures into the truest extremes of the "what if?" premise. Seeing Hal Jordan turn against his friends, making Black Canary the new Green Lantern. Shocking fans by having Bruce Wayne killed in the first issue, ultimately leaving his son Damian to become Batman in his place. And now, after one of the most disturbing/heartwarming scenes in the entire series, the world is about to face the madness of the zombie/Anti-Life Superman. Thank goodness Wonder Woman is ready to do what she has to.
It's plot twists like those mentioned above that have helped Tom Taylor's horror series top even Marvel's X-Men reboot, proving just how much comic readers love a good, gory nightmare. So if readers loved the absolutely gruesome way Superman was forced to kill The Flash, then the final issue is already nearly impossible to wait for. Luckily, DC has released preview pages of DCeased #6 to set the mood, and make it clear Wonder Woman is the one Justice League member who isn't hesitating to kill Superman... before he can kill the entire planet (to start with).
