[Men's Basketball] Bearcats Unable to Seal a Win Against Midway
The Brescia men's basketball team was unable to seal a victory in a River States Conference contest that went down to the wire against Midway University, falling to the Eagles 78-75.
It was a back-and-forth contest throughout the entirety of the game, with neither team able to gain a significant lead in the first half. The lead changed 10 times during the tightly contested game. After trading shots and momentum for the opening 20 minutes, the Bearcats led the Eagles by four at halftime, 35-31.

The Bearcats and the Eagles continued to battle for the remainder of the game, providing a nail-bitting conclusion that saw Brescia down by two points with five seconds left to play. Despite the Bearcats' efforts, Midway survived and left the Moore Center victoriously, 78-75.
Tishaun Cooper (JR, Kalamazoo, Mich.), in his Brescia debut, led the team in scoring with 22 points, followed by Ricky Shuford (JR, Prattville, Ala.) and Kayode Daboiku (SR, Cincinnati, Ohio), with 18 and 16 points, respectively.
