Caroline Flack’s ex Andrew Brady posts non-disclosure agreement on Instagram with caption ‘abuse has no gender’
CAROLINE Flack’s ex Andrew Brady has today posted a non-disclosure agreement on Instagram with the cryptic hashtag “abuse has no gender”.
The unverified NDA was shared just days after the Love Island host, 40, was charged with attacking her current boyfriend, Lewis Burton, at her flat in North London.
Brady’s hashtag posted alongside the NDA could be taken to imply abusive conduct on the part of Flack.
However, there has never been any suggestion of physical violence in the couple’s relationship.
The heavily redacted document is dated March 14, 2018 – shortly before the pair got engaged.
Addressed to “Andrew”, it begins: “Due to the nature of your relationship, you may have access to certain confidential and private information”. [redacted]
The agreement is a legal way to keep something confidential by not disclosing it in the first place, and is frequently used by celebrities wanting to protect details of their private lives.
‘BUST-UP’
Brady’s extraordinary post comes three days after cops were called to an alleged bust-up at Caroline’s Islington flat after a row erupted between her and Burton.
The tennis player was not seriously injured, but The Sun revealed Caroline later needed hospital treatment after accidentally cutting herself on broken glass.
Brady’s intervention comes days after the 26-year-old tweeted that he was “not surprised” by Caroline’s arrest.
Andrew has previously spoken out against his ex, slamming their relationship as “toxic”.
He made the claim as he got the tattoo of her initials on his wrist covered up with a new inking of a map of Australia.
Andrew posted a spiky message to his followers on Instagram detailing his reasons for the change, even claiming that the break-up saved his life.
He wrote: “It’s exactly a year tomorrow since I left a very toxic relationship and got away. Leaving probably saved my life. I mark it one year on by doing something I probably should have done a while ago.”
The couple got engaged in April 2018 but split six months later, when Andrew left the UK for Australia.
Caroline has now been bailed and is due to appear at Highbury Corner magistrates’ court on December 23.
The Sun Online has approached her representative for a comment.
Andrew Brady told the Sun Online that he could “neither confirm nor deny” the post and had nothing to say about its implications.
What is an NDA?
- A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is a legal agreement signed between two parties to share secret information or to keep trade secrets confidential.
- They are mostly used in the business world, such as in mergers and acquisitions, where one company receives sensitive financial information about a business it wants buy up.
- It is a contract through which the parties agree not to disclose information covered by the agreement, such as patient-doctor confidentiality or lawyer-client privilege.
- Non-disclosure agreements require parties to keep confidentiality for a defined period of time. It is up to the parties to decide what would be considered confidential and what is not.
- They are enforced by a breach-of-contract action.
