One of the NFL’s greatest rivalries takes on extra importance when the Bears visit the Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday afternoon. Playoff implications loom heavily over the matchup, and not just for your fantasy team.

The 7-6 Bears need a victory over the 10-3 Packers in order to keep their slim playoff aspirations alive. They currently have just a 2% chance of making the postseason, per FiveThirtyEight. Even if they win their final three games, their chances only improve to 32% given the current standings.

But none of that will matter if the Bears can’t continue their three-game winning streak to make a push to 10 victories. Regardless of what happens in Weeks 16-17, a loss to the Packers would drop their playoff odds below 1%.

So the stakes are as high as possible for the Bears, who have no margin for error after a 4-6 start to the season.

The Packers, meanwhile, look to be in the driver’s seat for a return to the playoffs. They’ll lock up the NFC North title with two more wins, and would likely need to lose all three remaining games to put their playoff spot in danger. A loss to the Bears on Sunday would merely drop their playoff odds to 83%.
