Will Caroline Flack be replaced on Winter Love Island? Latest odds including Maura Higgins and Maya Jama

LOVE Island presenter Caroline Flack’s job could be in jeopardy after she was arrested for an alleged assault on her boyfriend Lewis Burton.

The tennis player has decided not to press charges against Flack but with this cloud hanging over the 40-year-old’s head, will she replaced and if so, who will be the lucky one to take her spot?

What happened to Caroline Flack?

Police were called to Caroline’s house in Islington, North London, where she lives with partner Lewis Burton shortly after 5am on Thursday.

Cops yesterday confirmed they had attended, with sources saying tennis player and model Lewis, 27, called 999 himself after a row erupted between the pair.

The tennis player was not seriously hurt but Caroline was needed hospital treatment after accidentally cutting herself on broken glass.

Caroline has been bailed and is due to appear at Highbury Corner magistrates’ court on December 23.

The TV presenter and boyfriend Lewis have been dating since July but their relationship seemed to be on the rocks when they were seen having a furious row on holiday in Spain in October.

Is she still presenting Love Island?

The drama forced ITV executives into crisis talks yesterday, as Caroline was due to begin filming Winter Love Island in South Africa early next month.

So far ITV have yet to comment on the incident but a source said: “This is an absolute nightmare so close to the start of the series.

“Nobody knows exactly what has gone on, or how the court process will pan out.

“But it’s obviously too much of a risk not to have a back-up plan in place so those conversations have started straight away.

“ITV were told the news on Thursday and have been meeting about it ever since — it’s a real crisis.”

It is now unclear if she will be in a position to host it so bosses have been discussing potential replacements.
