A family affair at S.F.’s Pride Parade
With families being at the core of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling granting gay and lesbian couples the right to marry nationwide, anyone with a kid or spouse had extra reason for jubilation at Sunday’s Pride Parade in San Francisco.
“We figure with the Supreme Court decision and the baby, isn't this an amazing first event to go to?” said Meghan Holler.
Katie Thompson-Peer and her wife, Sarah Thompson-Peer, were married nine years ago in Massachusetts, and after living for the past three years in San Francisco this was also their first Pride Parade.
Elizabeth Hart of Oakland stopped by the Marriage Equality USA booth at the Civic Center with her son, Ronan, 4, and baby daughter Cora in tow.
