Woman struck, killed by train north of Philadelphia

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority said the woman was struck by a Regional Rail Train near the Ambler station in Montgomery County shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday.

The spokesman said the engineer applied the emergency brakes, but there wasn't enough time for the train to stop.
