Big beach ball brings residents together along Michigan lake

The Traverse City Record-Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/1LHL8Qk ) the red-white-and-blue ball is 8 feet in diameter and is placed on the Silver Lake each year for the Fourth of July by the Silver Lake Improvement Association.
