Trump ‘confident coronavirus will DISAPPEAR’ as cases continue to spike to record levels across country
DONALD Trump is “confident coronavirus will disappear” as cases continue to spike to record levels across the United States.
Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany spoke about the president’s “confidence” during a press briefing at the White House on Wednesday afternoon.
When McEnany was asked about Trump’s comments to Fox Business about the coronavirus, she replied: “The president’s confident it will disappear.
“He’s confident that he’s put together a revolutionary first-class team that is going to break through bureaucracy and get us a vaccine.
“He’s confident that that will lead us to a place where we won’t have covid on our hands.”
During his interview on Wednesday afternoon, the president was questioned about whether or not he believes that the virus will “still disappear.”
He replied: “I do. I do. Yeah sure. At some point. And I think we’re going to have a vaccine very soon too.”
While talking to Fox, Trump also took the opportunity to finally encourage Americans to wear face masks, saying he himself has a dark black one that makes him look like The Lone Ranger.
“I’m all for masks. if I were in a group of people and I was close…oh I would wear one, I have,” he told reporter Blake Burman.
“Usually I’m not in that position. If I were in a tight situation with people, absolutely.”
Trump then described a “dark black” mask he wears from time to time, saying that the facial covering made him look “sort of like The Lone Ranger”.

“I sort of liked the way I look,” he remarked.
The president has recently warmed up to the idea of wearing a mask after declaring he wouldn’t wear a face mask in April, contrary to guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The CDC updated its guidance asking people to wear facial coverings in early April, but Trump was adamant about remaining mask-free.
