Steven Rice, 30, was shot near 15 Avenue and Cleveland Street, according to the Lake County, Indiana, coroner’s office.
Rice was pronounced dead at Methodist Hospital Northlake about 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, the coroner’s office said. He lived in Gary.
Gary police did not immediately respond to a request for details Thursday morning.
