Vice President Mike Pence recently visited Arizona to discuss the state’s recent coronavirus surge. He met with Gov. Doug Ducey (R) on Wednesday to offer his help with the rise in cases.

The vice president assured Ducey the federal government would equip Arizona with whatever supplies needed to stop the spread, including personal protective equipment and additional personnel.

“I’m absolutely confident with your leadership, with the full support of the federal government behind you, cooperation of the people of Arizona, that we’ll slow the spread, flatten the curve,” Pence stated.

The governor encouraged Arizona residents to observe the upcoming Fourth of July holiday privately with their families.
