A WOMAN has criticised PrettyLittleThing for mis-sizing their clothing after she bought a size 26 skirt which she says should be more accurately labelled a size 16.
Outraged fashion fan Stephanie Elizabeth took to Twitter to share her fury after comparing two similar skirts bought in different sizes from Pretty Little Thing and Primark.
When compared side by side, the size 16 and size 26 were almost exactly the same@stephelizaax/Twitter
In a video clip, she compares two similar denim skirts from the fashion retailers by putting the size 16 from Primark on top of the size 26 from Pretty Little Thing.
The skirts appear to be almost exactly the same size.
She wrote: “So the top denim skirt is a size 16 from Primark, and the bottom one is a size 26 from Pretty Little Thing.
In a later comment, she said she was “so shocked” by the inaccurate sizing.

“No way on this Earth, is that an accurate size 26. I would dread to think how small a size 16 is,”she said.
And added: “Wouldn’t even get my leg in it this is what is wrong with sizing.”
People have shared in Stephanie’s outrage over the similar sizes of the size 16 and 26 garments, calling the comparison “criminal” and “bloody ridiculous”.

Other Twitter users were quick to chime in with their own grievances, admitting that they too have experienced issues with irregular fitting clothing items.
Responding to Stephanie’s post, one person wrote: “plt sizings are shocking atm, pretty much sent everything back.”
According to the sizing guide for PLT plus-size items, the suggested waist measurements for the size 26 skirt is 45.25 inches, while the hip measurement are 55.5.
And Primark’s size 16 bottoms are said to fit a 33.4 inch waist and 42.9 inch hips.
But the comparison very clearly shows a difference of much less than eight inches in the waistband, indicating the sizing is not at all accurate.
PLT has since reached out to Stephanie on Twitter apologising for her sizing concerns and said they will “look into it for her”.
