Ninjala: How to Master Ippon Finishes (The Easy Way)
Winning a match in Ninjala is all about points and depending on who stylishly you defeat players, those very points can change a lower placement position to the top spot of First place. Ippon finishes determine a lot of those extra points and mastering them will consistently keep players in the top 3.
Gung-Ho's Ninja bubble-gum arena battler is somewhat reminiscent of Splatoon but has a different formula altogether. With a variety of methods to get the upper-hand in battle and a large pool of cosmetics and powerups to individualize the shinobi, Ninjala is fun and original. Here's how players can master Ippon finishes easily and rack up those points to earn loads of Ninja medals and cosmetics.
An Ippon finish is a critical finisher that fancily defeats an opponent and sends them flying into the distance like Team Rocket. Ippon finishes award extra points at the end of the match when an "Ippon Master" is chosen for having the highest number of Ippon finishes. Ippon finishes only occur when an enemy is wrapped in bubblegum and receives a finishing blow before the gum disappears. When wrapped in bubble gum, players cannot move and are at the complete mercy of whoever is nearby or the culprit.
There are 2 ways to wrap someone in bubble gum but 4 ways to obtain an Ippon finisher.
1. Shoot a Bubble- After pressing ZL to blow a bubble and ZR to fire it off, if it lands on an opponent it will wrap them in bubble gum. Quickly defeat them by unleashing a combo and if there is health is depleted before the gum is undone, they will go flying and splat into a wall surrounded by gun signifying an Ippon Finish.
2. Burst their Bubble- Ninjala allows players to use their bubbles defensively and ward off incoming attacks. When an opponent has their bubble out, hit it with R for a powerful attack that will burst it, and cause their own bubble to wrap around them. Deplete their health while in this state and players will receive an Ippon finish.
3. Win a Clash- Winning a successful parry during a clash will stun the opponent and leave them open for a combo which will send them flying for an Ippon finish.
4- Gum Ninjustsu- Ninjutsu are powerful moves unique to each weapon. After activating the ninjutsu, every opponent defeated by it will count as an Ippon finish since ninjutsu's are pretty much insta-kills.
Among these methods, the easiest would be waiting for the Ninjutsu meter to fill and insta-gib anyone that happens to walk by. Aiming bubble gum shot takes a while to get used to and consistently catching an opponent blowing their bubble is even more tricky. Lastly, clashes can take a while if the same move (Up, Side, Down) is chosen which will result in a continued clash until someone wins the parry. Find which works best and enjoy it!
