RHONY: Ramona Singer Tried Having Leah McSweeney Fired From the Show
The Real Housewives of New York fans have learned that Ramona tried having Leah fired from the show. Ramona has never been one to welcome new cast members, but viewers were shocked to learn the lengths she would go to get rid of Leah.
The Real Housewives of New York City's Ramona Singer and Leah McSweeney have been in an all-out brawl over social media. Fans watched round one during the episode, but round two took place over Instagram. When Ramona's daughter, Avery Singer, got involved, things got messy. Round three found Leah commenting on how disgusted she was with Ramona for flying back from Florida amid the coronavirus surge. Fans of the Big Apple housewives are used to seeing a mean girl side of Ramona, throughout the years she has gotten herself into some sticky situations with the other housewives. Thankfully, Leah can hold her own against the famous Singer Stinger. Now it looks like the bells have rung for round four.
Leah has come out of the franchise’s summer break swinging at Ramona for making her time on the show unpleasant. The newest housewife explained her situation on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast saying that Ramona had tried to have her kicked off the show for good during the cast trip to Rhode Island. According to the Married to the Mob founder, the mother of one had no remorse as she tried to convince production to fire Leah from the rest of the season. The reality star went on to tell listeners that she has no idea why Ramona is so motivated to see her axed, saying she could not see why she would be held to such a different standard than the rest of the women unless Ramona just sees her as the "tattooed one."
Leah said that maybe Ramona believes she is better than her. The Bravo personality pointed out that she was the one who lives in a smaller apartment, downtown with the graffiti and maybe Ramona just "doesn’t like it." The businesswoman mentioned that most of their drama and deep-seated issues will play out during the second half of the season, alluding to the fact that their arguments only get worse. During the women’s most recent social media interaction, Leah made it known that she was not a fan of Ramona’s decision to fly back to New York City after spending three months in Florida. The Married to the Mob head has called Ramona out many times since the pandemic started but this time, she is accusing the reality star of not taking the worldwide pandemic "seriously" especially since there has been a major surge in coronavirus cases.
Fans have stood behind the new girl in town as she has represented a younger version of the successful New York woman. Bravo viewers are starting to really gravitate towards Leah. She is a breath of fresh air and her attitude differs from the older, upper-crust women. Ramona may need to get used to the idea that Leah is here to stay.
The Real Housewives of New York airs Thursday at 9pm EST on Bravo.
