Phillip Schofield takes fans behind the scenes of The Cube as he films for show’s big return
PHILLIP Schofield has given fans a behind-the-scenes look at The Cube ahead of its big return.
The game show last aired back in 2015 and the presenter is now back on the set of the iconic show to record a brand new series.
Phil, 58, was delighted to be back shooting new content for the gameshow and shared his joy with fans on his Instagram stories.
He wrote: “Well hello my cuboid friend, I’ve missed you.”
The Dancing on Ice co-host posted another snap, this time of himself sitting next to the famous Cube grinning from ear to ear.
He penned: “This is going to be a fun week! The Cube returns. On telly soon.”
ITV made the announcement last month that a brand new version of The Cube would soon be coming to the channel.
Ahead of filming, Schofield commented: “The Cube is such a cracking format but with the players now in teams and a whopping million-pound prize fund, it now means this high-pressure environment has just got tougher.
“I can’t wait to be reunited with the legendary Perspex Cube!”
Contestants will be put to the test by attempting to complete tasks in the intense and nerve-wrecking confines of the Perspex box.
As well as facing solo games, the new series will include brand new two player challenges.

Each pair will be given nine lives and will have to complete seven games, each allowing them to add to the amount of money they have won, as they edge towards the huge jackpot.
The players will have to find a way to battle any frustrations and nerves as they take on challenges that are harder than they look, such as throwing a ball into a container or balancing on a beam or stopping a clock at precisely 10 seconds.
There will also be a celebrity special for fans to sink their teeth into, as well-known names and faces will feel the intense pressure as they do their best to beat The Cube and win £250,000 for their chosen charity.
