Restaurants in Italy are bringing back ancient ‘wine windows’ used during the plague

Between the wrath of the Black Death in the 1300s and the Italian Plague in the 1600s, wine merchants in Tuscany built the windows to protect people from coming into close contact — a precaution ahead of its time.
