Photo: Liz Hafalia/The Chronicle Hashiri, a new Japanese sushi/kaiseki restaurant, is en route to Mint Plaza’s former Chez Papa Resto space. The restaurant will be a spinoff of a restaurant carrying the same name in Daikanyama Tokyo, though there will be a local link as well: Seigo Takei and Keiko Takahashi of Michelin-starred Keiko à Nob Hill will be consulting on the project. In particular, they will build a large rare wine list, heavily focused on vintage Burgundy wines. With the full bar, expect an extensive sake and Japanese whiskey collection as well.
