90 Day Fiancé: Brittany Claims Yazan's Family Once Loved Her IG & Rap Career
Did 90 Day Fiancé’s Yazan’s family believe Brittany Banks respected Islam before she moved to Jordan? The Florida-based rapper was labeled a “prostitute” by Yazan’s family when someone passed a picture of her in a bikini around. While 90 Day Fiancé fans wondered how Yazan’s family could not have known about Brittany’s bold Instagram content all this while, she confirmed that he had “switched up” when she reached Jordan. But now, the TLC star has made another claim that Yazan’s folks loved her social media and also approved of her rap career before 90 Day Fiancé, and here’s the shocking reason why!
Brittany’s cultural clashes with Yazan seemingly started the minute she stepped in Amman on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. Brittany hugging a TLC crew member set Yazan off into a rage-filled shouting match, and her carrying alcohol made him infamously yell “khallas.” However, while Brittany maintained that she wouldn’t change her American ways for his conservative Muslim family, they requested her conversion in order for them to get married. Her being already married didn’t help Brittany's situation but she seemed to have delayed the marriage by flying back to Chicago. Now that the 90 Day Fiancé star has decided to give Yazan’s family an ultimatum after his revelation about being kicked out of the house, fans want to know why exactly she’s going back. But since Brittany off-screen and post-filming is safe and sound, and possibly dating a rapper (No, not Usman Sojaboy Umar) she’s free to spill the pre-Tell-All tea on her rumored ex Yazan and his famous family.
Brittany’s Instagram game is back to business as it was before her 90 Day Fiancé stint, and none of her followers are complaining. The 26-year-old had a thriving career as a model in raunchy music videos and comedy sketches, with a few rap tracks on the side. Moving to Jordan could have prompted Brittany to change her Instagram username, and opt for an ideal daughter-in-law game, but her recent posts do have fans asking if Yazan’s family would approve. However, if the speculations are true, Brittany is way over Yazan and 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, and patiently waiting for the Tell-All episode like her co-star Deavan Clegg was a few months ago.
As per a Reddit thread, Brittany, who’s switched her IG comments off as of now, replied to a follower’s question about Yazan being “down with” what she’s like “until his family found her IG.” Brittany wrote how it'll be Yazan's father himself who's "going to expose the lie." But the 90 Day Fiancé star also confessed that what fans saw on the show isn’t even close to the truth. “Y’all about to get all the tea,” Brittany wrote, and added, “When I was in Chicago and my family helped his financially, they loved my IG and music videos.” The TLC star who’d met Yazan while she was staying with her mother in Chicago, and he was video calling his sister who stayed upstairs, confessed, “Once my family stopped bc I helped him get his own money from the show they hated me.” Brittany in turn, asked her followers, “So what ya’ll think him and his family's motives are?," and challenged them to reply to her by adding, “I’ll wait and see if anyone has any answers.”
Brittany’s claims suggest that she was the one paying for “The Family Yazan” until he got cast on 90 Day Fiancé alongside her. Off late, Yazan has been shown driving a cab in Amman, and sending Brittany money for a ticket while claiming to not be a “millionaire.” Meanwhile, Brittany did argue that she wished for him to become more capable, so he could support their future together. While Brittany’s earlier claims included Yazan having known about her still being married all along, these new allegations by the 90 Day Fiancé celeb do spin the story around. Was the TLC paycheck really enough for Yazan’s family to suddenly start hating Brittany? Or were they never in favor of her being their daughter-in-law either way?
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way airs Sundays at 8pm ET on TLC.
