Apple reports steepest quarterly drop in iPhone sales in 2 years

The drop has been attributed to late launch of new 5G phones due to the ongoing coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. However, before the pandemic struck, Apple, since 2014, was delivering new iPhones each September.
