KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Friends University Men's Cross Country Falcons have received votes in the latest edition of the NAIA Coach's Top 25 poll, the national office released today (Oct. 29).
The Falcons received 44 votes to come in as the No. 30-ranked team overall.
Under the leadership of fourth-year head coach Jason Parr, the Falcons opened the 2020 season with a victory in the McPherson College Carol Swenson XC Invite (Sept. 5). Freshman runner Isaac Oquendo (FR/Haysville, Kan. ) paced the Falcons in the win with a fourth place overall finish.
The Falcons are coming off a solid third place showing at the Mid-States Classic (Oct. 24), led by senior Logan White (SR/Wichita, Kan.)'s 12th place overall result.
"It's always nice to see improvements on the rankings every couple weeks," Parr said.
"This gives our kids an opportunity to see the progress they are making against the best cross country teams in the NAIA. We are grateful for the opportunity to show case our talents each and every week we get the opportunity to race. I'm extremely proud of our team for all the hard work they continue to put in through all the many challenges we have faced this season already."
