Game Of Thrones Characters & Their Disney Counterparts
Game Of Thrones is a vast world with an array of characters, all of which have very different personalities. There are people who are incredibly evil, with others who try their best to do good. There's some who are kind and others who are incredibly clever, and the wide variety of personalities is what made the show so compelling and interesting.
But if the characters who dominated Westeros were to find themselves in a family-friendly environment of Disney, who would be their counterpart? The characters within Disney all have clear and distinct personalities of their own, which is why they feel so vibrant and alive, and while they're nowhere near as violent as the GOT characters, they do have some obvious counterparts.
10 Daenerys Targaryen - Maleficent
Daenerys Targaryen is one of the most complicated characters within the world of Game Of Thrones. She spends the vast majority of the series as the character most people are rooting for, only to turn into someone that audiences hate right at the end.
While she does become slightly mad, Daenerys is the hero of her own story, even if it is a confusing one. That is the same situation for Maleficent, as her live-action movies prove, she isn't just the simple villain that people think.
9 Robb Stark - John Smith
Robb Stark was an incredibly popular character from Game Of Thrones and he was one that audiences were very sad to see die. However, he was a true leader of men, just like John Smith is, although the two of them do sometimes need to learn some key lessons along the way.
They make a few obvious mistakes along the way and then they have obvious lessons to learn and their journeys are all about that. They get to develop along the way and improve as people, and the fact they make key decisions that impact so many people helps to make them very similar.
8 Samwell Tarly - Russell
Both Samwell Tarly and Russell aren't taken seriously by most people. They're found to be annoying by some and are easier to laugh at than they are to treat with respect, however, both of them are unbelievably kind, generous, and intelligent.
Samwell and Russell are willing to do whatever it takes in order to help their friends and that is something that deserves huge respect. They're two of the nicest characters overall.
7 Ned Stark - Mufasa
There is an obvious, clear connection between Ned Stark and Mufasa in the fact that they both die fairly early into their individual story. However, that actually helps to make both of them incredibly memorable because their deaths are so impactful.
But the real reason that they are such perfect counterparts is how great they are as fathers. Each of them gives their all to their children, teaching them valuable lessons and ensuring that they grow up to be just as honorable as he is.
6 Cersei Lannister - Claude Frollo
Every great television show or movie needs to have a great villain and for Game Of Thrones, Cersei Lannister really is the best of the bunch. She's not over the top and dominant like some of the other characters within the show, but instead, Cersei is quite sly and cunning.
This is why she is a perfect counterpart to Claude Frollo. He's perhaps the scariest Disney villain in many ways, mainly because of his desires and how he is trying to make them happen behind the scenes in the same way Cersei does.
5 Ghost - Pluto
Ghost is one of the greatest Game Of Thrones characters, mainly because of how incredibly loyal he is. While this dire wolf might not be able to talk and interact like other characters on the show, that doesn't stop him from making his mark.
Ghost is always there for Jon Snow, whenever needed and is happy to put his own life on the line to help his owner. That is exactly the same for Pluto. While things might not be quite as violent in the world of Mickey Mouse, Pluto is certainly very loyal and will always be around to help Mickey.
4 The Hound - Beast
The big common trait that The Hound and Beast share is the fact that they're both judged based on their appearances, and because of that, they end up taking on a persona of being grumpy and angry. However, if people are willing to give them a chance, they would see that both of these characters are caring.
They are willing to fight for those who they care about, even if they don't always seem to be happy about the situation. Deep down, each of these characters are incredibly loyal and dependable, and that is what makes them so similar.
3 Tyrion Lannister - Rafiki
A big part of Game Of Thrones is the wide variety of intelligent characters that the show has. While many of the characters dominate the series due to their brawn and skill in fighting, many others are able to make their mark through being incredibly intelligent.
The best example of that is Tyrion Lannister. He is unbelievably smart and is happy to talk his way into positions of power. That is why Rafiki is his perfect counterpart, as he is one of the smartest Disney characters of all time, who seems to have an answer for everything, much like Tyrion.
2 Jon Snow - Woody
Jon Snow is truly the hero of Game Of Thrones, in the same way that Woody is the hero within the Toy Story world. Both of these characters are always busy thinking about others before themselves, even if it takes Woody a little while to get past his jealousy of Buzz Lightyear.
They work well within groups and take on the role of leadership confidently. They always take control when needed and work incredibly hard to make sure that other people are safe, and that is what in turn makes them so beloved by audiences.
1 Arya Stark - Rapunzel
Both Arya Stark and Rapunzel are real free spirits in the grand scheme of things. It might take them a little while to work that out and they both have to go on their own respective journeys in order to learn their true skills and what they are capable of, but once they do both of them become incredibly confident within themselves.
Arya Stark breaks free and becomes one of the most highly skilled warriors within the show, meanwhile, Rapunzel learns that she doesn't have to be trapped inside of her tower, as she is able to be free and enjoy herself as much as others.
