The Boys: Main Characters Ranked From Least To Most Likely To Die In A Horror Movie
In both the comics and the TV series on Amazon Prime Video, The Boys is a story that pits some of the most powerful superpowered beings in the world against a group that is more than capable of taking them down when given the time. It is superpowers versus brains and tenacity, and that means everyone involved is a threat — mostly.
But what would happen if the world of The Boys was taken out of the superhero genre and thrown into a horror movie? What would happen to each of the characters if they had to face down an unstoppable monster, a supernatural threat, or even a zombie apocalypse? Which ones would live to see the end, and which ones would end up as cannon fodder?
10 The Deep
In the world of comic books, Aquaman was seen as a joke for many years. It took someone like Jason Mamoa to finally get people to stop making fun of the King of Atlantis. In The Boys, the story took the insults and jokes and laid them heavily on The Deep.
He is overly sensitive, loves his sea creatures a little too much, and is as amoral as they come. However, if faced with real evil, The Deep stands no chance. He would be one of the first to fall in a horror movie.
9 Hughie Campbell
Hughie Campbell is the hero of The Boys and the main protagonist. He is also the weakest of everyone involved and is over over-reactive and neurotic. He proved on the TV show how dangerous he could be if pushed, and he might have a chance to take some baddies down.
He was based on Simon Pegg, who survived a horror movie in Shaun of the Dead. However, Hughie would end up falling early in a horror movie compared to his allies and enemies.
8 A-Train
Honestly, A-Train has a chance to be number one on this list because if he ends up in a horror movie, he has the power to run away very far and very fast and get out of that horror movie before things even get deadly. While people die, he could be hundreds of miles away in a flash.
However, there is one big problem here. A-Train has an ego, and he could never let anyone believe he is a coward. He also has some major problems mentally and isn't psychologically equipped for a horror movie.
7 The Frenchman
The Frenchman would make life hell for several different horror movie threats. If he is facing a basic serial killer, he is someone who might not only survive to the end but also be the one to hunt down the killer and eliminate him on his own. However, in the majority of cases, The Frenchman would be middle-of-the-road.
The Frenchman could hold out in a zombie apocalypse, but not for as long as others. If this was a monster movie or supernatural horror movie, he wouldn't have much of a chance and would go out quickly unless he went into hiding first.
6 Mother's Milk
Mother's Milk lived through his own horror movie thanks to his mom and the Compound V that turned her into what she eventually became. It also explains his name. Regardless, he was not only able to survive, but it made him stronger at the end, someone able to take on almost any of life's curveballs and come out on top.
He is someone who would take the fight to any horror movie villain and survive longer than most. He wouldn't make it to the end. The obvious choices never do.
5 The Female
The Female might be the scariest member of The Boys. She is mentally unstable and has a vicious streak. She can kill just about anyone in the room at one time and only come out slightly nicked up. There isn't someone on the team that is as openly violent and destructive as The Female.
While she is nowhere near the prototypical Final Girl, she is someone that most horror movie villains would rather run away from than hunt down.
4 Queen Maeve
Queen Maeve is Final Girl material, but she is also too damaged to ever live up to that role's expectations. She is someone who, physically, could hold her own against almost anyone. As The Seven's version of Wonder Woman, she won't die at the hands of any basic horror movie serial killer.
However, put her in a supernatural horror movie, and her odds drop a lot. She would stand almost no chance in a zombie apocalypse, and her self-doubt and insecurities would likely lead her to become a zombie fairly quickly. She also isn't as powerful as The Homelander, so she wouldn't outlast him.
3 Homelander
Based on pure power, Homelander should last to the end of any fight against any enemy regardless of who, where, or how the battle happens. This includes horror movies. However, there is one thing to take into account here.
In a horror movie, out of every character on The Seven and The Boys, Homelander is the monster. The monster and villain in a horror movie is supposed to fall, and for that reason, The Homelander wouldn't make it to the end of the movie because he is the one that the hero has to beat.
2 Billy Butcher
Billy Butcher is the most resourceful and dangerous member of The Boys. He gets his sights set on something and doesn't stop until he achieves his goals. In the case of a horror movie, he is the relentless killing machine that will reign terror down on every monster in his path.
In The Walking Dead, he is Negan. In a monster movie, he is the one that takes its head off its shoulders. In a serial killer movie, he is the man who hunts down and kills the killer.
1 Starlight
Starlight is the Final Girl. In every way, she checks every box when it comes to the Final Girl in all horror movies. She is a good person. She is not someone who sins. She is virtuous, and while she did end up doing things she regretted throughout the series and TV show, she is still the purest and best character on the entire series.
Most horror movies end with the Final Girl as the final survivor, so Starlight is the most likely to last to the very end of any horror movie.
