Among Us Meets Halo In Awesome Crossover Fan Art | Screen Rant
Thanks to a passionate fan, a believable crossover between Among Us and Halo is now a thing via an amazing piece of art. With Among Us becoming increasingly popular, it’s no wonder that the community is producing bizarre creations inspired by the game.
One of the latest examples of a mesmerizing Among Us fan work is an adorable animated short, which puts a sweating Impostor into the harsh reality of everyday life. Not being able to complete the simple task of paying with a credit card, the poor character proceeds on doing what he does the best - killing the cashier and trying to escape the brutal scene through the vent. As much as a hilarious satire on the actual gameplay task in Among Us, the video is also just a pure joy, which definitely deserves becoming a full animated series.
The most recent amazing piece of fan art was shared by Redditor Taco144 to an overwhelmingly positive and wholesome reception. The image hosts a playable map of Among Us, but instead of a regular generic sci-fi location, the violent events take place on board the huge UNSC ‘Pillar of Autumn’ spaceship from Halo with a battle of an unprecedented scale. There are just so many subtle details to please the eye of a devoted Halo fan that the picture is worth admiring and exploring for a good amount of time. While taking the core art style and gameplay premise of Among Us as a base, Taco144 created a full scene from Halo with dozens of humans fighting off the attack of Covenant. There’s a couple of aliens on a rampage with a med bay full of halved corpses, while Master Chief himself is resting in a cryo capsule. A few other familiar faces include Sgt Johnson, Cortana, and Linda – with the latter being fairly hard to locate. Additionally, the notorious vents are in place for any possible sneak attacks.
Although Among Us developers were forced to shelve the plans for a sequel because of the explosive popularity of the original title, they are nonetheless continuing to expand the game with new features and design decisions. While still currently in beta, there’s a new version of the game available introducing a couple of innovative parameters to turn on during sessions. They are mostly designed to make the life of Impostors slightly easier by giving them additional tools in sabotaging the whole experience.
While a pure fantasy, the unlikely fan crossover between Among Us and Halo looks weirdly natural and entertaining. It clearly shows how fascinated the community is, and how influential this simple video game has become. With recognition like this, Among Us might actually be treated to official crossovers with popular video game universes through approved cosmetics – much like it is happening to Fall Guys.
Among Us is available for PC, iOS, and Android devices.
