Wolves 2 West Ham 3: Jesse Lingard scores goal of the season contender as Hammers move into top four
WEST HAM avoided throwing away another three-goal lead to move into the top four after beating Wolves 3-2 at Molineux.
After drawing 3-3 against Arsenal last time out, lightning almost struck twice for David Moyes’ side, but they defended resolutely to leapfrog Chelsea in the table.
Jesse Lingard opened the scoring early on in one of the goals of the season as he finished off a solo run from his own half.
Pablo Fornals then doubled the Hammers lead, before Jarrod Bowen fired the visitors 3-0 up with a scorching strike.
But Wolves pulled a goal back just before the break through Leander Dendoncker, with Fabio Silva making it 3-2 in the second half.
Wolves pressed for an equaliser, but they couldn’t get back on level terms as West Ham moved back into fourth spot.
