One of the reasons that the movie was so good was its amazing cast that brought life to the story to life. The movie was full of great names but it also became a strong credit for all actors involved. That said, viewers might wonder where else they know the cast from besides this movie?
10 Audrey Tautou (Amélie)
Audrey Tautou is best known for being the lead role in the hit movie, Amélie, where she is a waitress that ends up changing the lives of others, despite being shy and reserved herself. The movie put her on the map and that was only helped by playing Sophie in The Da Vinci Code.
She is heavily involved in working out the mystery within the story, pairing up with Robert Langdon as they desperately try to avoid the police and understand why they're in the situation in the first place.
9 Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2)
Alfred Molina's roles in The Da Vinci Code and Spider-Man 2 are very different, although he does play a villain in both. In The Da Vinci Code, Alfred portrays Bishop Aringarosa, who is the man that mentors Silas and tries to get the Holy Grail, although a lot of his work is in the shadows in order not to be caught.
In Spider-Man 2, he is a much more obvious villain, as he plays the iconic role of Doctor Octopus. He was fantastic in the role, creating one of the greatest superhero villains of all time.
8 Jean-Yves Berteloot (Jack Of Diamonds)
Jean-Yves Berteloot is a French actor who played the role of Remy in The Da Vinci Code, who is the butler for Sir Leigh Teabing. He's an intriguing and mysterious character in the movie, as his allegiances switch at times and his character is a tough one to predict.
Aside from this role, Jean-Yves Berteloot is best known for the movie Jack Of Diamonds, where he plays a jewel thief, with the characters sneaky and cunning behavior being fairly similar to Remy.
7 Jean-Pierre Marielle (Les Milles)
Jean-Pierre Marielle is an experienced actor, having been involved in countless movie and television projects throughout his career. However, Les Milles is arguably his greatest role and is where he plays Commandant Perrochon, who is a World War II hero.
In The Da Vinci Code, Jean-Pierre plays the character of Jacques Saunière, and it is his death at the start of the movie that actually kicks off the entire story, with his lifelong secrets being unraveled throughout.
6 Jean Reno (Léon: The Professional)
Jean Reno is a major part of The Da Vinci Code, taking on the role of Police Captain Bezu Fache. He spends his time throughout the movie chasing down Robert and Sophie, having his own personal reasons to be as involved in the situation as he is.
However, he is best known for taking on the lead role of Léon in Léon: The Professional, being a hitman who ends up with a young sidekick that he didn't initially want. The two of them then form a badass and unique friendship, where Leon teaches her along the way.
5 Jürgen Prochnow (Beverly Hills Cop II)
In The Da Vinci Code, Jürgen Pronchnow plays a supporting role as André Vernet. He is the manager of the Depository Bank of Zurich, and initially, he does help Robert and Sophie when the police circle in on them, as he helps them escape without being caught.
However, that's only for his own selfish gains, as he ends up turning on them, threatening to kill them to take what he wants. Playing the antagonist is something Pronchnow has experience with, as most people know him from his role as Maxwell Dent in Beverly Hills Cop II.
4 Etienne Chicot (Chefs)
Etienne Chicot takes on the role of Lieutenant Jérôme Collet in The Da Vinci Code, where he works to initially catch Robert Langdon. However, he struggles to see the obsession that Captain Bezu Fache has with him until it's explained, and while he steps back, he does allow him to continue his search.
Etienne plays the role well, even though it's only a supporting part. He brings a level of authority to the character, which makes it a stand-out part. He's well-known for being part of the French television show, Chefs, which focuses on a restaurant where the lead chef brings in a young offender to work, giving them a chance.
3 Sir Ian McKellen (The Lord Of The Rings)
Sir Ian McKellen's character, Sir Leigh Teabing, joins the movie halfway through when Robert Langdon seeks refuge at his home, requiring Leigh's help to work out the Holy Grail. However, what Langdon doesn't know is that Leigh is actually plotting behind his back to steal it for himself.
Sir Ian McKellen brings a tremendous performance to the movie, with a Shakespearean sense of purpose put into the character. This is similar to his role of Gandalf in The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, which is where he's known best.
2 Paul Bettany (WandaVision)
Paul Bettany plays the mysterious and eerie monk, Silas, in The Da Vinci Code, who is someone who gets brainwashed by religion as he ends up committing a series of violent and dangerous acts in a bid to find the Holy Grail.
However, outside of this iconic character, Paul Bettany is best known for his work within the MCU. Whether it's in the movies or more recently, Disney+'s WandaVision, fans know Bettany best as Vision, who is one of the most powerful heroes in the movies.
1 Tom Hanks (Forrest Gump)
Tom Hanks takes on the lead role in The Da Vinci Code where he plays Robert Langdon, who is a professor and writer focusing on symbols and their impact on history. He's an intelligent character who ends up wrapped in a mystery that he originally had no part of.
Of course, outside of this movie, Tom Hanks has had a tremendous career, appearing in some of the greatest movies of all time. However, one of his most iconic roles is Forrest Gump, with the movie following his life as he tries to be with his childhood love, Jenny.
