Khloe Kardashian’s ever-changing face as she blasts trolls for criticising her looks and plastic surgery jibes
KHLOE Kardashian has changed a lot since stepping into the spotlight 14 years ago
But the famous sister, 36, has admitted constant speculation about her face has been bothering her.
Fans have queried her looks, with one asking: “Why do you look so different in all your photos?”
Over the weekend, an “unauthorised” snap of the Kardashian sister was leaked online with Khloe appearing candid and natural as she posed by the pool in a bikini.
And now her team are reportedly working hard to remove the image from circulating the web due to the photo reportedly being posted without permission, Mail Online reports.
While Khloe looks amazing in the make-up free snap, it’s not hard to see the stark difference between the candid shot and her usual super glam selfies.
Despite the snap being deleted almost instantly due to “copyright infringement” it had already spread across multiple sites, including Reddit, where people commented on Khloe’s more natural look.
Khloe and her team have come under fire in recent years for reportedly changing her face and body in photos which appear to be photoshopped.
On the latest – and last – series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Khloe told her on-off boyfriend Tristan Thompson that criticism of her face had devastated her.
She said: “My soul is at a breaking point in regards to the public thinking they’re allowed to talk about my weight, my face, my personal life.”
“Actually, I don’t want to hear this any more. I’ve always been incredibly open with this show and my life, but I just don’t think I have it in me anymore. It’s not healthy for my spirit,”
But cosmetic surgeon Dr Riccardo Frati says while Khloe’s face has undoubtedly changed, the stigma against surgery and procedures needs to stop.
He said: “Plastic surgery is still taboo. It’s an everyday fact of life today – and it’s not a rarity to see in the street – you shouldn’t criticise people who have had work done.
“But that said, celebrities have a responsibility to educate people of what they’ve done otherwise it creates unrealistic body image expectations.”
Here, Dr Frati has his say on Khloe’s changing looks from the start of KUWTK in 2007 to today.
2007 – Insecure sister
When Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered, Khloe was an unknown 22-year-old.
She confessed that this is where her body insecurities began when she was compared to her older sisters, Kourtney and Kim.
She later said: “I didn’t really realise that I was ‘the fat sister’ if you will until I went on TV and the media started saying that about me.
“I knew I didn’t look like my sisters and I didn’t have those shapes, but I didn’t think that was wrong”
Dr Frati said: “At this point she has a softer round face – she looks like a normal 22 year old.
“It’s unlikely at this stage she’d had any fillers or botox.”
2008 – Teeth and tan
When KUWTK’s popularity boomed, Khloe’s personal life took a dip.
She faced jail time for a drink driving conviction but was let off by attending an alcohol treatment programme.
At this time, the stunning star began to change her appearance a little bit more.
Dr Frati said: “Her teeth look a lot whiter and she looks very tanned.
“I would guess she has had her teeth whitened professionally and of course a spray tan.
“She looks very similar to the year before in this picture – there is not much difference.”
2009 – Full cheeks
Khloe opened up this year about learning to love herself after years of eating issues.
She said: “When I was about 15 or 16, I was anorexic.
“I’ve had very crazy weight issues. I’ve had both sides of the spectrum.
“I’ve been very very skinny, and when my father died, I gained about 30 pounds.”
Dr Frati said: “You can see Khloe’s face looks more symmetrical here than it did before.
“The Apples of her cheek look more defined.
“To achieve this kind of look you could have some non-surgical enhancements – namely fillers and botox.”
2010 – Neater nose
Newlywed Khloe admitted in 2010 that she was trying for a baby with husband Lamar Odom.
But she admitted that social media could cause her to feel self-conscious about her looks.
She said: “If social media is too much for you to handle, then don’t have a Twitter or Facebook account, Just be yourself. Be who you want to be.”
Dr Frati said: “Her nose looks slimmer here – that’s what I notice straight away.
“Her whole nose looks neater and slimmer. In my opinion it’s unlikely that there’s a non-surgical procedure which can give that effect.
“What would give that overall appearance is a rhinoplasty – known as a nose job.”
The star has denied having any surgery on her nose.
2011 – Slimmed down
When Khloe went to Miami to film a series of KUWTK in 2011, she admitted to going on a crash diet.
A slimmer, blonder Khloe said: “It was going to be bikini weather there and I thought, Okay, those 10 pounds have to go.”
And Dr Frati says he notices overall differences to Khloe’s appearance.
He said: “Her forehead appears to have dropped a little bit.
“I think she’s had – or started having – jaw slimming treatments.
However this could be down to a number of different things including weight loss, botox, filler or radio frequency treatments.”
2012 – Medical grade skincare
Khloe debuted a more grown-up look in 2012.
Dr Frati says this could be a sign she is taking skincare more seriously.
He said: “Her skin is very smooth – she may be under the care of a cosmetic dermatologist.
“These types of doctors use medical grade skincare – like lasers of prescription-only retinol to renew the skin.”
2013 – Glassy skin
This was a tough year for Khloe – who split with her husband Lamar.
But if the starlet was worried, it didn’t show on her face – or her newly toned physique.
Dr Frati said: “Her skin looks beautiful – very smooth and glassy.
“Her jaw appears to be even slimmer.
“It could be down to a vigorous exercise regime but her face shape has changed.
“One procedure which is becoming very popular – but is not well known – is buccal fat removal.
“This removes fat on the jaw – known as jowls – and is very popular with supermodels.”
2014 – Keeping up appearances
As Kris and Bruce – now Caitlyn – Jenner separated, Khloe remained strong for the family.
Dr Frati said: “In this picture, I can’t see much change from 2013.
“She is looking great and is obviously taking care of herself with skincare and workouts.
“There’s not been much change here. I don’t think there’s been any procedures.”
2015 – Pointed chin
Khloe’s estranged husband Lamar was left on death’s door after a drug overdose at a brothel in 2015.
Dr Frati says this year Khloe made a big change in how she presented herself.
Dr Frati said: “Her chin is looking even pointier now to me. This could suggest a chin implant to me.
“She’s started wearing heavier eye make up which could contribute to a different look.
“You can tell she’s wearing a lot more make up here. That can really affect the shape of your face in pictures.”
2016 – Revenge body
After a huge makeover and body overhaul, Khloe presented show Revenge Body in 2016.
And Dr Frati agrees that her looks would make any ex regretful.
Dr Frati said: “The cartilage on the end of her nose looks very defined.
“You can get this effect from a procedure known as a tip rhinoplasty.
“Her hairline is different from before. It looks a lot thicker.
“The hair is more abundant at the front – this could be a wig or weave but sometimes even women opt for hair transplants.”
2017 – Cosmetic dentistry
In 2017 a jubilant Khloe started making baby plans with boyfriend Tristan.
She said: “It’s such a great feeling that I have my happy back! It’s from a genuine place and the most peaceful place I’ve been in for longer than I can even remember.”
And Dr Frati says her happiness is reflected in her looks.
Dr Frati said: “She looks great here. Really glowy and more natural in her makeup.
“It looks like she’s had some more aesthetic dental work done – her teeth are whiter and longer.
“I would say this could be composite edge bonding.”
2018 – Bold brows
In 2018 Khloe’s bubble burst as videos of her boyfriend Tristan with other women emerged.
But Khloe also had some good news – the birth of her daughter True.
And this year, Khloe denied she’d ever had cosmetic surgery.
She said: “I’ve had make-up artists tell me, ‘You should get a nose job.’ I’m so happy that I never have.
“I’m proud for losing weight when I wanted to and I’ve never resorted to surgery.
“I’m not against it – one day I probably will but it would be on my terms.”
But Dr Frati says she may have had popular tweakments
He said: “The ratio from her eye to eyebrow has widened.
“This would suggest an endoscopic brow lift when you put holes in the patient’s scalp and pull through to give a lift.
“The ponytail lift was very popular in Los Angeles this year – it gives a feline look.
“Ladies in their late to mid twenties are having brow surgery more than ever.”
2019 – Lip boost
In 2019 Khloe was humiliated as Tristan Thompson allegedly cheated on her with sister Kylie’s BFF Jordyn Woods.
And in the same year Khloe’s appearance began to dramatically change once more.
Dr Frati said: “Her lip looks lifted.
“What can cause this change in lip shape is a Russian lip lift technique which involves injecting fillers across the lips in lines.
“I would warn against this as although it’s very trendy at the moment it can cause migration of the lips.
“That means the border between your lip and skin becomes blurred.”
2020 – Filters and Facetite
Khloe was heavily criticised on social media after posting this picture online.
Fans questioned if she had plastic surgery or was using a photo filter.
Dr Frati said: “I believe Khloe’s used a photo-editing app in this picture – although she looks amazing all the same.
“If she really does look like that I’d say her lower jaw is very tight.
“Her family have mentioned they are fans of jaw tightening treatments such as Morpheus8 and Facetite before.
“Facetite is very common with women in their thirties – it’s a cross between a facelift and a non-surgical procedure.”
2021 – No negative vibes
As fans told Khloe she looks unrecognisable this month, she snapped back.
She said: “We don’t accept negative vibes here.”
While her appearance has changed a lot in the last 14 years, Dr Frati says she is looking incredible.
